Looking for a new challenge?
Come and work with Sense and make a real difference to the lives of the people we support and their families.
You don’t need any previous experience to become a Support Worker with Sense. We’ll give you full training for our part-time and full-time roles.
You will join our fantastic Residential Service in Louth supporting 4 individuals with learning and/or sensory disabilities.
We have permanent contracts available with hours up to 37.5 hours per week to suit you (shifts to be discussed at interview).
We offer hourly rates starting from £11.75 with enhanced rates for overtime and annual pay reviews/rises.
Note: If you live outside of Louth, you will need your own vehicle to access the service for early/late shifts due to limited public transport.
Benefits include:
* 32 days of annual leave including Bank Holidays (pro-rata)
* Matched pension contributions up to 5%
* Free life assurance policy
* Cashback and discounts on high street brands and 10% off at Sense charity shops
* Cycle to work scheme
* Travel season ticket loans
* Enhanced sick pay
* Free Headspace app for mindfulness
* Free DBS check if required
* £350 refer-a-friend scheme
* Access to over 100 online and face-to-face training courses, including the care certificate
* Ongoing development opportunities
We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are:
* Positive, with a can-do attitude
* Caring, patient, and empathetic
* Good communicators and listeners
* Flexible team players
* Passionate about improving others’ lives
* Willing to attend training as needed
* Full UK driving license desirable
Note: No two days are the same. Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. Your role will be to empower them to live independently.
This role may include supporting people with:
* Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
* Personal care and hygiene
* Finances
* Medication and wellbeing
* Community outings for shopping or trips
* Social and nightlife activities
Note: This role may involve sleep-in shifts paid at £50 per night, with sleeping over at the residence and possible night-time care.
Everyone supported is an individual, with unique care needs. Details are in the attached job description.
Why work for Sense?
