Citizens Information Services (CIS) provide information, advice and advocacy services to the public to inform them of their civil and social rights and entitlements and their civic duties.
Services are delivered face-to-face in these centres, over the phone and via email.
Local services are supported at a national level by the Citizens Information Phone Service (CIPS).
South Connacht Information Service CLG was established in 2018.
