Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dairy Farm Assistant to support the daily operations of a dairy farm. The role involves assisting with livestock care, milking, and general farm maintenance to ensure the smooth running of the farm and high standards of animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with daily milking operations and herd management.
* Monitor animal health and report any issues promptly.
* Feeding, bedding, and general care of livestock.
* Maintain cleanliness of milking parlor, housing, and equipment.
* Support seasonal tasks such as calving, silage, and grassland management.
* Carry out general farm maintenance as required.
Requirements
* Previous farm or livestock handling experience preferred (training can be provided).
* Strong work ethic with willingness to learn and adapt.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and during busy seasonal periods.
* Driving license and tractor experience an advantage.
