Key Responsibilities:
* Drive innovation and creativity through strategic leadership and collaboration with staff and residents.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to HIQA standards, focusing on medication management and daily spot checks.
* Oversee the reception of new residents, conducting thorough assessments of their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
* Provide guidance and support to care and nursing staff, including training and development opportunities.
* Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors by identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Requirements:
* Nursing experience: Minimum 2 years in an Irish nursing home, with a minimum of 5 years' overall nursing experience.
* Management experience: Preferably with SSN or CNM experience.
* Effective communication skills: High level of English proficiency required.
* Special interest: An enthusiasm for gerontology or infection control is desirable.
