Lead Quality and Sustainability Initiatives
The role of the Environmental Performance Lead is to oversee our company's quality and environmental systems, ensuring they are maintained and continuously improved.
This includes managing and maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS), working closely with other departments to ensure processes are recording in accordance with our IMS, and managing the maintenance of current and future ISO standards.
The Environmental Performance Lead will also work to broaden our systems, for example, to achieve 55001 Asset Management and separate Carbon Ladder Certification.
An essential aspect of this role is to ensure that all Quality, Environmental and Energy Management requirements are incorporated into the decision-making processes, preparing and submitting reports to stakeholders as necessary.
In addition, the Environmental Performance Lead will be responsible for controlling data-gathering processes, facilitating the preparation of reports, and controlling the preparation and storage of data, correspondence, and documentation.
This includes preparing safety, quality, and design documentation for activities and ensuring it is submitted to clients under the certification process, as well as carrying out reviews of Plans, Procedures, RAMs etc when required.
A key responsibility of this role is to work with the Operations Manager to develop measuring tools for the performance of projects, processes, etc. Additionally, the Environmental Performance Lead will prepare quality submissions for clients in advance of construction or renewal projects, develop testing protocols with subcontractors, control, monitor, test, and inspect works.
The role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities, as well as a solid understanding of quality and environmental management principles and practices.
