Senior R&D Manager What You'll Be Doing: Lead, mentor, and inspire a world-class team of engineers in the design and development of cutting-edge transcatheter medical devices and procedures.
Scale and evolve the team in alignment with business needs, ensuring the right capabilities are in place to deliver consistent and successful outcomes.
Contribute to strategic planning initiatives and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen technical and clinical expertise.
Foster strong cross-site and cross-functional relationships within a large, matrixed, global organization.
Drive successful execution of projects with complex or undefined paths, ensuring milestones and objectives are achieved.
Apply engineering and clinical insight, along with customer feedback, to inform key project decisions.
Lead and support high-level engineers and managers across product development and technology exploration programs.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and career development for direct reports.
Partner with core teams to set goals and regularly assess performance and progress.
Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
Ensure compliance with company policies and external standards or regulations.
Tackle engineering and organizational challenges with innovative and practical solutions.
What We're Looking For: A Level 8 degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 7 years of relevant engineering experience in a similar setting.
A Master's degree is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years' experience managing engineering teams, with a proven track record of leadership and career progression.
Strong team leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Solid program management experience is highly desirable.
A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to contribute effectively in a global team environment.
Prior experience in the medical device sector with a demonstrated history of driving results and innovation.
