Automation Engineer

Our client is a market leader in the implementation of DeltaV in Ireland. Due to an expansion of projects they are seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities
* Drafting and managing Automation Change Packs (ACPs) for system modifications.
* Updating design specifications and all related documentation to align with changes made on the DeltaV System.
* Meeting with Process Engineers and other key stakeholders to define and agree on changes to be implemented on the production system.
* Developing and configuring phases, recipes, equipment module instances, and control module instances within the DeltaV environment.
* Leading and supporting Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) activities for new equipment across multiple production suites.
* Testing changes and C&Q procedures as defined in the Automation Change Packs.
* Implementing and managing configuration changes to ensure system integrity and compliance.
Experience
* An Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) or Instrumentation & Control (I&C) background is preferable.
* Strong, hands‑on experience with Emerson DeltaV system configuration and development.
* Proven experience in drafting and executing Automation Change Packs (ACPs) in a regulated environment.
* Practical knowledge of developing control modules, equipment modules, phases, and recipes.
* Direct experience with Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) activities for automated systems.
* The ability to collaborate effectively with Process Engineers and other stakeholders to translate requirements into system functionality.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a keen attention to detail for system documentation.
