Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Planning & Scheduling professional to lead the planning and project controls function across a portfolio of complex infrastructure and connection projects in the Southern Region of Ireland.This is a key leadership role responsible for driving scheduling excellence, establishing governance and standards, and ensuring integrated project schedules support effective decision‑making, forecasting, and delivery performance across multiple projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and scheduling function, providing oversight and support across a portfolio of major infrastructure projects.Develop and maintain integrated project and programme schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.Establish and improve scheduling standards, governance processes, and schedule assurance practices.Manage schedule baselines, progress tracking, critical path analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting.Coordinate and challenge schedule inputs from contractors, consultants, customers, and internal stakeholders.Facilitate schedule development and progress review workshops to ensure delivery plans remain realistic and achievable.Produce high‑quality programme reporting and schedule insights for senior stakeholders.Support the integration of schedule, cost, and risk information within wider project controls processes.Mentor and develop planning capability across project teams.RequirementsSignificant experience in planning, scheduling, and project controls within large infrastructure, engineering, energy, or construction environments.Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong capability in MS Project, Excel, and reporting tools such as Power BI.Proven experience developing and managing complex project and programme schedules, including baseline management, critical path analysis, and performance reporting.Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence project teams and drive schedule-led decision‑making.Experience implementing scheduling standards, governance frameworks, and assurance processes.A relevant degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.Experience in schedule risk analysis and integrated project controls would be advantageous.This is an excellent opportunity to join our client during a period of significant infrastructure investment and growth, playing a critical role in the successful delivery of strategically important projects.
