My client, a progressive and successful firm of accountants is currently experiencing strong growth. As a result they seek a practice trained Manager to help further grow their business. The work will involved reviewing financial statements, preparing and reviewing management accounting and supporting ad hoc finance projects for a mix of international and indigenous companies. You may be either a qualified accountant working in a similar role in a small/medium or large firm department and you will ideally be working across a mix of accounting, tax and audit but perhaps looking to specialise more in financial and management accounting and not audit. Alternatively, somebody who trained in practice but has spent a few years working within a medium - large industry company would be a good fit. This person will play a key role in the ongoing growth of the department and enjoy strong career progression. There is a competitive salary on offer for the right person and flexibility to work from home 2-3 days a week, if desired. The Role: Building and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of clients. Reviewing and preparing financial statements for a wide variety of clients from SME's to international entities. Reviewing and preparing monthly management accounts for key clients. Contributing to the operational management of the financial reporting team, including certain business development initiatives. Providing mentorship to junior staff, and work on attracting, developing, and retaining the best talents for the firm. The Person Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with at least 2 years PQE Strong technical experience of Financial Reporting Standards in UK and Ireland (FRS 102). Tax compliance experience with SME / Owner managed businesses. Excellent client relationship management skills Commercially focused with good interpersonal skills Proficiency with accounting software packages i.e. Xero, Quickbooks, Sage etc along with Microsoft applications Strong communication and leaderships skills Team player with experience in managing staff.
