Overview
Our client, a fast-growing and innovative technology company in the energy and sustainability sector, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This role will work closely with the CFO & report to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will join a team of 5 in an exciting global role.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a strategic finance role within a global business that is undergoing a period of sustained growth.
Ideally this would suit someone with 2 plus years Industry experience who is strong on Financial Reporting & Management Accounting.
Excellent Flexibility with this role (1/2 days a week in the office).
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis.
Balance Sheet/P&L reconciliation
Maintaining and updating accruals and prepayments.
Supervision of the AP and AR process.
Group fixed asset book maintenance
Group cash flow forecasting
Support the Head of Finance in building models and preparing the robust annual budget process
Preparation of annual financial statements
Assisting with group year-end audit requirements
Supporting the Finance team on financial and market analyses & ad-hoc duties.
Key Capabilities Required:
Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CFA or other comparable financial qualification).
2+ years PQE in a similar role
Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and presentation preparation experience.
Excellent PowerPoint and strong Excel modelling skills required.
Self-starter, problem solver, willingness to work cross functionally.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
