Role Description
The Laboratory Specialist will play a key role in supporting the research and development of advanced medical device coating technologies. This is a full-time position based on-site at our facility in the Galway Metropolitan Area. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, performing experiments to ensure the quality and functionality of biomaterial solutions, conducting quality control assessments, and analyzing data to support product improvements. Collaborating with cross-functional R&D and manufacturing teams will be essential to success in this role.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
* Strong laboratory and analytical skills
* Experience in quality control and adherence to laboratory standards
* Background in laboratory medicine or related scientific fields
* Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with precision
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
* Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 13485, is an advantage
