Supply Quality Engineer
Supply Quality Engineer – Clara, Co. Offaly, IRL
The Supplier Quality Engineer will support and contribute to analysis of quality costs, customer complaints, process capability studies and really embrace a diverse range of quality functions.
The role will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage supplier quality performance, lead corrective actions, support new product introductions, and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards.
What you will do
Ensure that safe working practices are always adhered to, including wearing PPE as appropriate.
Lead quality improvement programmes using recognised problem-solving and project management techniques.
Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure that we achieve our Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
Responsible of the Supplier Quality function; liaising with the Supply Chain function and required external stakeholders to the business.
Evaluate Supplier quality trends and reasons for product or process failures relating to customer complaints and lead and support the roll out of corrective action plans.
Evaluate quality costs and determine critical causes.
Prepare and approve quality assurance documentation and assist in the formulation of written policy/procedures.
Assist in determining inspection frequencies and sampling plans using significance testing, capability studies and through collation and analysis of data.
Ensure support in cross training activities applicable to the responsibilities of the role.
Any other reasonably duties as required.
To be lead auditor trainer as responsible for conducting introduction and surveillance audits of suppliers.
Have You…?
Three years’ experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment (essential)
Third level qualification in science/engineering (essential)
Demonstrable Lean/ Six Sigma certification is an advantage (desirable)
Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis is an advantage(desirable)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision.
Good interpersonal skills and enjoys being part of a team.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Multitask, meet deadlines and to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
