Job Description
The role of Head of Compliance requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of statutory and regulatory compliance are met.
Main Responsibilities:
* Designated Compliance Officer: You will be the primary point of contact for compliance-related matters and ensure that all policies and procedures are up-to-date and effective.
* Money Laundering Regulatory Officer / Nominated Officer: You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) regulations.
* Advisor to the board of directors, executive committee of directors, risk committee, managers, and employees on issues of regulation, risk management, corporate governance, areas of best practice, and internal policies and procedures.
You will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team and effective management of workloads. This includes providing guidance and on-going training of the Compliance Team, cross-training, and development, and ensuring cover where necessary.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong background in compliance and regulatory affairs.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to working as part of a global team.
* Ability to delegate and develop others' base skill set.
* Strong technical skills in relation to compliance and data protection legislation.
* Ability to produce management information and to deliver projects within given deadlines.
