Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Graduate EHS Advisor to join their team in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety practices within the construction sector. The role offers full support, mentoring, and training to help you develop your career in EHS.
Responsibilities
* Support site teams in maintaining a safe working environment across assigned projects.
* Assist with carrying out site safety audits and inspections, reporting findings to management.
* Help deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for staff and subcontractors.
* Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments, method statements, and site documentation.
* Monitor compliance with EHS procedures and escalate issues to the site or EHS Manager where required.
* Contribute to maintaining site safety files and EHS management systems.
* Support accident/incident reporting processes and help track corrective actions.
* Assist in promoting a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team.
* Gain exposure to environmental management, including sustainability plans, audits, and regulatory compliance.
Skills & Qualifications
* Degree or Diploma in Environmental, Health & Safety (or a related discipline).
* Placement or internship experience in construction or a related industry is beneficial but not essential.
* Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage effectively with site teams.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Willingness to learn, take initiative, and develop professionally.
