Join a leading company in the medical device manufacturing industry in Galway. They are looking for Manufacturing Technician for night shifts based on a 12-month contract. You will be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovation and excellence.
About Your New Job as a Manufacturing Technician
* Address Equipment and Process Issues: Resolve equipment, yield, and process problems, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
* Support Process Improvement: Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to improve and standardize production methods.
* Troubleshoot Electronics and Program PLCs: Handle electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and hardware interfacing.
* Maintain a critical spares inventory for key maintenance items to minimise downtime.
* Manage Spare Parts Inventory: Maintain critical spare parts to reduce downtime.
* Implement New Production Methods: Help evaluate and integrate new methods, designs, and parts sourcing.
* Conduct Equipment Validation: Perform and document equipment qualifications and validations.
* Design and Improve Equipment: Create, modify, and document production equipment improvements.
* Coordinate with Teams and Vendors: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
* Oversee Preventive Maintenance: Lead preventive maintenance for assigned areas.
* Report Safety and Environmental Concerns: Communicate any health, safety, or environmental concerns to management.
What Skills You Need as a Manufacturing Technician
* HETAC Level 6 qualification in a relevant area with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
* Medical Device Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
* Strong technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities, and initiative.
* Proven ability to work well both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
* Experience with Automation.
