Fairstone Kilkenny are seeking an experienced Financial Planning Administrator/Paraplanner to join the team. The role will deal with all aspects of managing new business applications for life, protection, pensions, savings and investment policies from initial application to policy issue.The successful candidate will provide support to our team of Financial Advisors, work closely with our clients and will have a strong administration and operations background, excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills as well as a passion for delivering a superior client experience.This role is part of the Fitness Probity Regime and Individual Accountability Framework, which set out the specific requirements applicable.ResponsibilitiesSpecific activities include:Check compliance paperwork is presentConfirm client risk profile is determinedDiscuss client objectives with Financial AdvisorsIdentify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial cashflow forecastCompile draft net worth statement - income and expenditure statements and financial cashflow forecast and discuss with the AdvisorPreparing recommendations:Identify areas for planning in collaboration with Financial AdvisorsUndertake research both independently and with Advisors to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients needsPrepare information/comparison for analysis by AdvisorsLiaise with client's legal and tax advisors (if applicable)Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profilePrepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed/signed off by AdvisorsImplementing recommendations:Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendationsComplete application / proposal formsEnsure all compliance paperwork is in orderMake changes to client's investments as instructedImplement the chosen investment strategiesReview:Act as a point of contact and deal effectively with client queries and other parties through effective communicationEstablish and build strong relationships with clients and attend client meetings with Advisors, if requiredOrganise future planning meetings with clientsReview investment portfolio, asset allocation, risk profile, etc.Send planning figures to client for update and revision in preparation for next meetingInitiate review meetings with clients well planned integration process allow for gradual alignment of enhanced processes and cultures, all the while continuing grow as a business with a seamless transfer of clients and staff at the acquisition stageThe ideal candidateEssentialUnderstanding of the financial planning processAble to work within defined business processesAbility to achieve agreed outcomes without supervisionPrioritise and plan own workloadDetailed, accurate and articulateExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritise effectivelyGood IT skills including proficiency with Microsoft OfficeGood report writing skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesirableBroad knowledge of financial services worldHigh level of technical knowledgeQualificationsQFA qualified or on a path to qualification
