Parts Advisor Role
This position oversees the daily operation of the parts department and enhances workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction.
1. Customer Engagement & Sales:
* Provide expert advice to customers on parts availability, pricing, and suitability.
* Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate parts or alternatives.
2. Parts Management:
* Manage the ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing of parts.
* Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular stock checks.
3. Workshop Support:
* Prioritise workshop requests to support job efficiency and minimise downtime.
* Liaise with technicians regarding parts availability and lead times.
4. Skill Requirements:
* Strong technical understanding of vehicle parts and systems.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Confident IT skills, including dealer management systems (DMS) and online catalogues.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 35 years experience in a parts advisor role and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
