This role is based in our concentrate plant in Carrigaline and is a critical component to our manufacturing network. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the testing of incoming bulk raw materials and finished products in compliance with a product specification for Carrigaline. You will also be required to work closely with micro and sensory teams who are based in our LI concentrate site. All activities are conducted in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice and safety requirements, while ensuring a positive team environment and a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Comply with Confidentiality Policy
* Ensure the accurate and timely analysis and disposition of manufactured products in accordance with PepsiCo standards and procedures
* Become familiar with the material/product portfolio
* Registering QC samples in the laboratory management systems accurately
* Meticulous attention to sample data entry and preparation
* Prepare all production, delivery and issue samples in a timely manner
* Ensure timely and effective issue resolution and communication
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
* Maintain all relevant records and samples in an organised system for quick and effective access to information with a particular focus on trace-ability
* Adhere to safe lab practices and GLP.
* Adhere to ISO 17025 competency and calibration standards
* Organise the replenishment of relevant laboratory supplies
* Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with process operators
* Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with Pepsi’s Product Development group.
* Liaise with manufacturing and R&D on the smooth introduction of new products during and after scale-up.
* A requirement of this role is that all PepsiCo Health and Safety requirements are adhered to
Qualifications
* BSc in food science, chemistry or equivalent science-based degree.
* Understanding of Star-lims, SAP or other quality lab systems preferred but not necessary
* Knowledge of ISO 17025 standard.
