We seek an experienced Metering professional for our team. We aim to simplify energy and support a greener, fairer future through resilient metering network management.The Senior Metering Infrastructure Manager will ensure BGB meets industry obligations through accurate asset forecasting, timely asset orders from Centrica Smart Meter Assets (CSMA), oversight of metering partner commissioning, and invoice validation. This role supports BGB’s cost control, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction via effective asset lifecycle management and team collaboration.Location: Any Centrica UK site with flexible homeworking options.Key Accountabilities:Maintain forecasting models for metering assets based on demand, regulations, performance, and growth.Collaborate with procurement, CSMA, and third-party teams to ensure metering stock availability.Work with BGB teams and partners to optimise deployment and minimise wastage.Implement dashboards and KPIs to monitor installation progress and quality, sharing risks and issues with leadership and partners.Lead governance of SMART (SMETS) meter commissioning processes.Ensure compliance with DCC, SEC, and other frameworks.Improve commissioning success rates and fault resolution.Validate and approve metering-related invoices, including installation, maintenance, and rental charges.Coordinate with finance for accurate budget forecasting.Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, regulators, suppliers, and industry forums.Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Strong stakeholder management at all levels.Experience managing complex operational processes.Leadership in process delivery analysis and forecasting based on trends.Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions, including financial reconciliation.Ability to understand broader business priorities.Leadership experience in utilities industry.Knowledge of metering, SMETS, DCC operations, and industry codes.Experience managing Metering Equipment Managers (MOPs & MAMs).Key Competencies/Core Capabilities:Effective collaboration.Leadership and delegation.Professional performance management.Outcome-driven despite ambiguity.Strong planning and prioritisation.Agility and resilience.Why should you apply?We’re a people-first organisation supporting diverse needs.
