About The Innovation Impact Program

Our 18-month Graduate Program starts on October 1st, 2025 at our Henkel Adhesive Technologies Innovation Center in Düsseldorf. You will be part of an exciting development journey, receiving a permanent contract from day one, relocation support, and hands-on experience across various innovative technologies. Upon completion, there will be opportunities to transition into global roles within Henkel’s innovation network.

What you’ll do

1. Support new and existing businesses with your technical expertise as part of our Application Engineering team in Düsseldorf, Germany, acting as a bridge between clients and Henkel’s R&D departments.
2. Develop and implement data-driven methods to optimize pilot-scale manufacturing processes in R&D by analyzing sensor data and process parameters to uncover improvement opportunities.
3. Design and conduct experiments to validate insights from data analysis, collaborating with product developers and engineers to turn findings into actionable process improvements.
4. Contribute to the development and validation of digital twins to simulate and optimize production workflows.
5. Take an active role in rotation projects—working on lab, customer, and business-related tasks—while exploring future trends in digitalization, sustainability, and innovation.
6. Support the digital transformation of R&D by implementing data-based workflows for process development and knowledge management.

What makes you a good fit

1. You have recently completed, or are about to complete, a Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Application Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar engineering-focused field.
2. You gained first hands-on experience through internships, academic research, or industry-related projects during your studies—ideally in process development or optimization—with a focus on data-driven approaches and a solid understanding of chemical reaction engineering, mass transfer, and process control principles.
3. You are proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R), design of experiment tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP), and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
4. Knowledge of advanced technologies such as IoT, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus.
5. You are highly motivated, a team player, and eager to contribute to innovative solutions.
6. You are interested in growing your career within Henkel’s global Innovation network, with relocation as a possible path after the program.
7. Proficiency in English is essential, as you will work in an international environment.
