A vacancy exists for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) role in Lar Foley House.
Lar Foley House is a community residential house providing support to young adults and children with an intellectual disability and complex support needs. Staff provide a variety of nursing, social and emotional support needs.
Applications are invited for the post of CNM1. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and interested in providing opportunities for service users with a disability to develop their full potential in a compassionate and person‑centred environment.
Applications are invited for this position from suitably qualified candidates. This role requires a strong ability to lead a team and to problem solve, manage risk in a positive and proactive way and work on own initiative.
* Have an RNID qualification and be presently registered and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Other nursing disciplines with a minimum of 3 years staff nurse years’ experience in the area of intellectual disability may apply.
* Have at least 3 years staff nurse experience in intellectual disabilities.
* Have at least 6 months in staff support, taking the lead in teams, resource management, and administration duties.
* Be knowledgeable of Health Act 2007 and have experience and understanding of HSE, (2015) Interim Standards for New Directions.
* Have experience in the area of intellectual disability, complex health needs, positive behaviour support, advocacy and social inclusion.
* A working knowledge of safeguarding policy.
* Possess a strong commitment to the provision of a quality individualised person‑centred service.
* Possess experience in key‑working and have knowledge of the quality system.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
Salary scale: €56,642 - €66,705 LSI
* Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay‑scale above.
