The Law Society is inviting applications for an AML Officer to join the newly established AML unit within the Regulation Department. The successful candidate will be part of a small team assisting the Head of AML in delivering the Law Society’s AML strategy, leading best practice in the implementation of AML measures and ensuring the Law Society meets its competent authority responsibilities relating to AML/CFT and Money Laundering.Main duties and responsibilitiesThe successful candidate appointed to this executive role will carry out a variety of duties in line with the operational standards and strategic objectives of the Regulation Department, to includeManagement, co-ordination and development of internal reporting systemsDrafting and submission of statutory reports to external bodiesLiaison with internal and external stakeholdersCo-ordination of data, statistical analysis and report production relating to anti-money laundering complianceCo-ordination of AML HelplineDevelopment of unit administrative frameworkPreparation of documentation for regulatory meetingsKnowledge and skillsA minimum of three years experience in a similar or administrative roleExceptional attention to detail and organisational skills with an ability to multi-task in a high paced settingExperience of working in multi-disciplinary teamsProven skill at communicating and building relationships with professionalsStrong knowledge of and proficiency in various IT systems, particularly database systemsExperience of external stakeholder engagementHigh level of discretion and the corresponding ability to handle sensitive information with integrityExperience working in a legal or compliance related areaOperational knowledge of goAML reporting portalSalary (DOE)Excellent working conditionsPensionPlease note this is initially a 12-month contract, with a view to becoming permanent.How to ApplyPlease click the “Apply Now” button to progress your application.Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland, without any restrictions.Closing date:22 August 2025We thank you for your interest in the Law Society of Ireland and your interest in this role.
