Role PurposeThe role of Commissioning Manager requires an experienced electrical professional with extensive hands-on craft knowledge to lead the testing and commissioning phase across large-scale electrical projects. You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical systems, are fully tested, commissioned and performing to specification. You will work closely with Project Director / Manager and site teams to deliver fully functional, compliant electrical installations that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.Electrical Project Manager ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and oversee all testing and commissioning activitiesDevelop comprehensive commissioning plans and schedulesEnsure all testing is completed and signed off for electrical systems and specialist systemsLiaise with subcontractors and specialist contractors to ensure coordinated commissioning activitiesCoordinate with other trade(mechanical and civil trades) to ensure integrated systems commissioningAttend and contribute to coordination meetings with all project stakeholdersReport regularly to the Project Director on commissioning progress, issues and completion statusOversee preparation of detailed test sheets, commissioning records and certification documentationSign off on completed testing and commissioning activitiesIdentify, troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of technical issues during the commissioning phaseLiaise with manufacturers and suppliers for specialist equipment commissioning requirementsEnsure all installations comply with ETCI Rules, Building Regulations and relevant Irish and European StandardsComplete RECI/Safe Electric certification and provide all necessary compliance certificatesCoordinate with design consultants to ensure installations meet specification requirementsOversee system performance verification and functional testingProvide technical guidance and mentorship to electricians and apprentices during commissioning activitiesSupport with client walkthroughs and technical aspects of project handoverMaintain accurate records in project folders and Quality Management SystemUphold the highest levels of quality in line with ISO 9001:2015 standardsEnsure all EH&S requirements are met during commissioning activitiesKeep up to date with industry standards, regulations and technical developmentsComplete all required CPD and attend technical training programmesThe above statements are intended to describe the essential responsibilities of persons assigned to this role.
