As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and shaping the strategic direction of PwC's transport practice. You will lead complex programmes that will deliver lasting improvements for citizens, and contribute to environmental goals. You will bring deep knowledge of Ireland's public sector and political context, exceptional stakeholder leadership, and a proven record of successful delivery in complex, infrastructure-intensive environments.Purpose-Led Work You'll Be Part OfAs a Director, you will leverage your influence, expertise and network to deliver quality results for Transport clients while driving business growth for PwC's broader Government & Public Sector team. You will:Business Development & GrowthLead Transport account growth within G&PS go-to-market strategiesIdentify, develop and convert new business opportunities in key accountsLead end to end business development cycle, including proposal development and client pitches for major transport client contractsAchieve annual business development and managed revenue targetsExpand PwC's presence across the Transport market and in specific disciplines that underpin it. .Client & Delivery LeadershipLead, and have overall accountability for, large-scale transformation programmes for transport clientsOversee the development and implementation of future-state operating mode ls, procurement strategies, operational effectiveness plans and adjacent advisory services for priority clie ntsEnsure delivery of high-quality outputs aligned to client expectations, project goals and PwC standardsApply and champion project management and change management methodologies across transformation initiativesCollaborate with clients to co-create solutions that address complex organisational challengesDrive benefits realisation and sustained value creation across engagementsStakeholder & Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with senior transport sector stakeholders and decision-makersAnticipate stakeholder needs, pre-emptively developing and discussing potential solutionsNavigate political and operational complexities with confidence and credibilityFacilitate stakeholder engagement at the most senior levelsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor and develop teams of Senior Managers and ManagersConduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedbackFoster an inclusive and collaborative team environmentMaximise tr ansport c onsulting opportunities by working with the wider PwC firmRecruit and retain top talent with public sector expertiseContribute to the overall capability development of the wider G&PS practiceYour ProfileRequiredA recognised University Degree with 10+ years' experience in management consulting or senior public sector roles, particularly in the Transport sectorA strong track record in business development, client relationship management and winning major transport or infrastructure contractsStrong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to identify, shape and convert business development opportunitiesDeep understanding of two or more of the following capabilities: Operating Model Design, Public Sector Procurement, Transformation Delivery, Programme Management or Change ManagementK nowledge of the challenges the Transport sector is facing in the context of the wider Irish government agendaExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience navigating political and operational complexities at senior levelsProven leadership experience managing and developing diverse, high-performing teamsPreferredMaster's degree, MBA or relevant professional qualificationExisting network of senior relationships across the transport and/or broader public sectorExperience delivering complex transformation programmesEnjoy PwC’s perksWe reward your impact, and support your wellbeing, through a competitive compensation package, inclusive employee benefits and flexibility programs that will help you thrive in work and life.
