We are looking for a Staff-level Engineer to bridge the gap between cutting-edge silicon and the global open-source ecosystem.The RoleIn this dual-impact role, you will drive the design and integration of audio software for processors across mobile, automotive, and IoT sectors. Crucially, you will lead the charge in expanding the company's contribution to the open-source community, building the project from its infancy.Technical FocusLow-Level Development: Expert-level C/C++ programming for ARM-based SoCs, Linux, Zephyr, and DSP platforms.Audio Frameworks: Deep experience with PipeWire, ALSA, and audio signal processing (playback, voice activation, context detection).Hardware & Drivers: Hands-on with I2S, TDM, SoundWire, and driver development for CODECs and speaker amps.Open Source Mastery: A passion for upstreaming and engaging with the broader community (Linux Kernel, Zephyr, etc.).RequirementsExperience: 5–8 years in embedded system development and debugging.Architecture: Strong understanding of power and performance optimisations for ARM/Linux.Open Source: Proven track record as a contributor or maintainer of established open-source projects.Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering.Communication: Exceptional ability to collaborate with international hardware and software teams.Interested?
