A leading international engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced HV / MV Electrical Project Lead to join its project delivery team on a hyperscale data centre project.
The business is recognised for delivering large-scale, technically complex projects across data centres, life sciences, and critical infrastructure, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and programme certainty.
Key Requirements
* Third-level degree in Electrical / Building Services Engineering and/or a relevant trade background
* 5+ years' experience in a site-based HV/MV electrical role
* Proven experience working on hyperscale data centre projects
* Strong IT and reporting skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a high-performance project team
* Demonstrated commitment to health & safety leadership
The Role
Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager, you will take ownership of HV/MV electrical works on site, ensuring delivery in line with safety, quality, and programme requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing HV/MV electrical systems, including installation, testing, and maintenance
* Leading electrical activities with safety as the top priority, promoting best-in-class H&S culture
* Ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
* Coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain programme delivery
* Overseeing Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) and management of hazardous energies
* Tracking installation progress and quality across electrical and CSA scopes
* Supporting commissioning planning and development of Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Reviewing temporary power systems to support construction and commissioning
* Chairing and contributing to project meetings as required
* Managing subcontractor performance, progress, and resourcing
* Issuing weekly progress and cost reports
You will also ensure all stakeholders deliver key project documentation, including:
* Construction and commissioning programmes
* RAMS and execution documentation
* Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Progress reports aligned with the master programme
* Electrical and vendor handover / turnover packs
