We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Lorry Driver / Forklift Operator to support our transport and warehouse operations. The role involves the safe delivery of goods, loading and unloading using a forklift, and ensuring all items are handled efficiently and securely. will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and material-handling equipment to move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility. This role supports production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate lorries to transport goods to designated locations
* Ensure timely deliveries and collections according to schedules
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
* Secure loads correctly to prevent damage during transit
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
* Comply with road traffic laws and company transport policies
Forklift Operator Duties:
* Operate forklift trucks safely to load, unload, and move goods
* Stack and store products in designated warehouse areas
* Inspect forklift equipment and report maintenance issues
* Follow all health and safety regulations within the warehouse
* Assist with stock control and inventory checks
* Keep work areas clean and organized
Requirements:
* Valid lorry driving license (appropriate class)
* Valid forklift operator certification
* Proven experience in a similar role preferred
* Good knowledge of road safety and warehouse safety procedures
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
* Strong time-management and communication skills
Working Conditions:
* May involve early starts, overtime, or weekend work
* Combination of driving and warehouse-based duties
Qualifications:
* Valid forklift certification
* Previous forklift or manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred
* Ability to perform physical work for extended periods
* Strong attention to safety and detail
Work Environment:
* Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, machinery, and moving equipment
* Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required
