This role is responsible for the management of all agrochemical and biological applications implementation across our Farms, ensuring the company's goals are achieved while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability and quality.
This role is vital for the successful of the Retail Farms business unit.Key Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesCrop Protection Program:Support the deployment of resources across our farms to implement comprehensive IPM plans for plant health, pest and disease control.Support the agronomy team to select and recommend suitable biological agents, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to all products utilised in IPM activities.Equipment Management:Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of application and irrigation equipment.Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in optimal condition.Train and supervise staff in the safe and efficient use of applications equipment.Stock Management:Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet demand without overstocking.
This includes tracking stock movements, conducting regular stock audits, and managing reorder points.Support coordination with suppliers to ensure timely ordering and delivery of stock.Support the development and maintenance of Optimised store layout, ensuring safety and compliance, and managing store access.Provide regular reports to management on inventory performance, including stock levels, turnover rates, and potential stock shortages or excesses.Ensuring that all stock management processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
This includes managing risks such as stock obsolescence, damage, theft, and ensuring proper documentation of all stock movements.Records Management:Maintain and secure all relevant records for stocks, applications and standards management.Ensure that appropriate records are maintained for; Applications undertaken (Agrochemical, Fertilisers, Biologicals) and PPE utilisation / Disposal.Machinery (& equipment) maintenance and calibration.Team Leadership:Lead and supervise a team of crop protection operators and assistants.Conduct training sessions to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.Foster a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, continuous improvement and excellence.Key SkillsEssential: Must hold a qualification in a relevant discipline or have demonstratable competencies through 5+ years' experience.Must hold a full and clean driving licence Valid in Ireland, England and EU.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Be able to perform well under pressure in an ever-changing environment.Highly accurate and fine attention to detail essentialCandidates must speak fluent English.
