Cloud Operations Role Overview
The Cloud Operations team at our company is responsible for the consistent operational success of every customer using our database-as-a-service platform. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will help ensure the success of our customers by assisting with day-to-day duties such as creating and monitoring system alerts dashboards, reviewing critical events and system logs, accessing customer instances that underpin their production databases and performing server administration duties including performance troubleshooting.
This role requires strong technical skills in Linux system administration, configuration and troubleshooting. You must be able to monitor, analyze and report on system performance data to identify potential issues before they become major problems. Additionally, you should have knowledge of networking technologies like DNS TCP/IP etc., experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud infrastructure platforms is desirable but not essential.
