Dublin. Are you a psychologist who is passionate about human rights, person-centred practice, and driving innovation in behavioural support in intellectual disability services? Callan Institute is seeking a Senior Behaviour Specialist.
In this senior leadership position, you will influence and shape organisational strategy for behavioural support across SJOGCS.
You will spearhead the advancement and facilitation of the Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) framework and help drive research and innovation that enhances evidence-based practice in behavioural science within intellectual disability services.
About Callan Institute As part of SJOGCS, Callan Institute provides consultation, training, and support in Positive Behaviour Support, using the Multi-Element Behaviour Support Framework, and Raising Understanding and Awareness (RUA) in relationships and sexuality.

Essential Criteria A recognised undergraduate qualification in Psychology.
A post-graduate qualification in Psychology and evidence of learning in behavioural science.
3+ years' experience in a leadership role, coordinating and managing Positive Behaviour Support services within an adult intellectual disability service, with a deep understanding of the Multi-Element Behaviour Support Framework.
Professional Registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Proven ability to support situations with individuals supported in relation to quality of life, wellbeing and behavioural support needs working collaboratively with the individual supported, their circle of support, MDT members and senior managers as appropriate.
Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, including listening, critical thinking, problem solving, organisational/time management skills, verbal, written and IT skills, with a reliable, compassionate, and flexible approach to work, with experience in staff mentoring, support and supervision.
Proficiency in designing (including co-creating), facilitating, and evaluating training with evidence of leading out on innovative research initiatives.
Exhibit expertise in upholding human rights; applying person-centred approaches; implementing organisational behaviour structures and processes; policy development and implementation; and positive risk and restriction free practices.
