Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Business Networks Unit on a part-time basis (3 full days per week). This is a mid-level position within the Performance & Evaluation team, offering a rewarding opportunity to support strategic decision-making across the agency.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Performance & Evaluation Manager, primarily focusing on data analysis, performance reporting, and dashboard creation using tools such as Power BI. The role involves managing large datasets and presenting findings through clear, engaging visualisations. It will also include responsibilities in project management, supporting the implementation of various performance-related initiatives and day-to-day operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of the organisation’s Performance & Evaluation Framework and Strategy.
* Lead on the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and performance reports (e.g. Power BI) for internal stakeholders, board committees, and external partners.
* Assist in the review and evaluation of grant applications and associated appraisal processes, ensuring alignment with internal standards and effectiveness.
* Analyse performance data from business networks, generating insightful and actionable reports.
* Provide project planning, coordination, and delivery support for the Performance & Evaluation Manager.
* Assist with the planning and delivery of internal and external performance-related events, such as workshops, webinars, and review meetings, including agenda setting and follow-ups.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, and/or data visualisation (e.g. Power BI).
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
* A qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and statistical skills, with a good understanding of databases and data models.
* Knowledge of data cleaning, processing, and validation techniques.Excellent organisational and project management skills, with familiarity with common project management methodologies.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and presentations.
* Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
* Ability to identify, evaluate, and present data related to performance, funding, or strategic priorities.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation, including executive level.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with high attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or similar platforms.
