Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our bustling kitchen team in Cashel Palace Hotel. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations.
* Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain high hygiene standards
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
* Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure all dishes, cutlery, and cookware are properly cleaned and stored
* Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper organisation of the storage areas
* Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
* Support the kitchen team during busy periods by performing various ad-hoc tasks
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
* Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
* Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and cleaning techniques
* Understanding of food safety principles and hygiene standards
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
* Team-oriented mindset with a supportive attitude
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred
* Food safety certification is desirable
* Ability to commute to the job location in Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland
