Overview
Business Planning, Intelligence and Data Analytics Manager (SEO Grade) role at Medical Council. This role supports the development of the Business Intelligence function and reports to the Head of Data Strategy & Business Planning. The position involves contributing to the execution of key strategic initiatives with a focus on process analysis, business intelligence and business planning.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the successful execution of key strategic initiatives with a focus on process analysis, business intelligence and business planning.
* Work across teams to co-ordinate activities, track progress and ensure alignment with overarching goals.
* Drive implementation of the Medical Council data strategy by overseeing BI initiatives from planning to execution and promoting best practice.
* Advise across directorates on data capture, data sources and the adoption of new BI technologies and tools in line with the Digital Strategy.
* Support execution of data strategy to ensure data availability, accessibility and integrity to support BI reporting and decision-making.
* Engage with data and digital working groups to identify data gaps, opportunities and strengthen BI maturity; participate in upskilling staff in data literacy and BI tools.
* Lead tracking of activity against the Annual Business Plan, oversee quarterly reviews and monitor performance against objectives.
* Represent strategic business planning in internal and external committees and contribute to organisational change programs.

Details of this Appointment
Position Type: Permanent, with a 6-month probation period.
Salary: Starting salary €58,847 (first point of Senior Executive Officer PayScale). There will be salary increment each year in line with the Senior Executive Officer Grade PayScale and subject to performance.
If you are currently a serving civil or public servant, entry may be higher based on your current salary.
Annual Leave: 29 working days plus public holidays
Hours: 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri.
Location: Medical Council offices, Kingram House, Kingram Place, Dublin 2. Hybrid working model with on-site attendance two days per week (subject to review).
Pension: Public Sector Pension Scheme; existing public service staff may transfer their pension.
