The site also processes whey, sweet cream and whey cream. We have an opportunity for an Engineering & Maintenance Lead to join the team in Tirlan Wexford, Rocklands. You will have responsibility for developing and implementing the site Maintenance and Continuous improvement strategy for milk processing into cheese, and by products. Key is ensuring standards to meet customer requirements, Tirlan and associated regulatory standards. The Engineering & Maintenance Lead reports to the Site Lead as part of the Plant Management Team Responsibilities This role is responsible for the overall maintenance management of the site machinery, equipment and maintenance technician team. This role has ownership & responsibility of KPIs relating to Engineering & Maintenance including; Health and Safety, Equipment Efficiency, Downtime, Throughput, Preventative Maintenance, C.I., Employee Engagement, Project Completion, Energy optimisation management, Utilities and Financial targets.. Accountable for management of the maintenance technician group & ensuring they are adequately trained and integrated into the plant operations team. Maximise equipment and process efficiencies through minimal unplanned equipment downtime achieved through proactive and predictive maintenance programs. Develop a culture of coaching and regular feedback with all direct reports. Conduct routine PDPs with reports. Ensure all team members have, measurable KPIs and provide them with regular, timely feedback on their performance. Ensure best practice Maintenance, Health & Safety and Quality Management procedures are implemented across the site in line with overall plant risk management strategy. Adherence to Quality Standards in line with the Quality Management System and plant customer standards in line with the Plants approach to risk management. Drive overall compliance to the Tirlan Wexford Quality System including change control management and investigation of equipment events Work closely with site management to meet production plans, customer expectations and to promote & develop a lean high performance culture. Support the delivery of site engineering projects and in certain cases, manage site owned projects from initiation to completion. Identification, management and implementation of process improvements opportunities to help achieve site process improvement targets. Promote, develop and implement best practice principles and maintenance systems i.e. CBM; vibration monitoring, thermal imagining, oil analysis. Ensure adherence to sustainability, EH&S procedures, where necessary develop & implement additional controls and processes to ensure compliance. Contribute to the development of site culture and act as role model for Plant values and behaviours. Role model in the implementation of site cleanliness and hygiene standards Key Requirements Trade Qualified and/or 3rd level qualification in Engineering or related Technical Discipline. Experience in hygienic maintenance and best in class maintenance standards. Experience in Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma implementation. Advanced organisation and planning skills. 5-10 years manufacturing, process or maintenance experience, preferably in a dairy, food, beverage background desirable. Strong PC skills including; Microsoft Office (Word, excel etc.), SAP or other CMMS (PEMAC) systems.
