Position Title: Plumber Maintenance
Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Position Location: U.S Army Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Dublin, CA
Workdays/Time: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, occasional evenings/weekends
Hourly Wage: $38.96 per hour based on experience, plus benefits
Qualifications:
* Must have a documented diagnosis by a licensed physician in California or certification from a California State rehabilitation agency.
* Must pass a government security clearance, criminal background checks, and maintain facility access during employment. Valid California Driver’s License required.
* Valid Plumbing License, technical school or apprenticeship graduate, with knowledge of computer operations and Microsoft Office Suite.
* 3-5 years of journeyman experience with commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including working with mixing valves, fixtures, copper pipe, backflow systems, cast-iron piping, brazing, soldering, chemical and water treatment, and testing.
* Strong knowledge of current plumbing codes and use of tools like augers, snaking, and jetting machines.
* Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, and perform tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and ladder climbing.
Duties:
* Respond promptly to emergency plumbing work orders, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair water, gas, sewage, and oil systems, providing updates.
* Install, modify, and repair utility and plumbing systems.
* Read and interpret blueprints and sketches for system routing and installation.
* Locate and tap main lines, set up system routes, install valves, traps, and unions.
* Test and repair backflow systems and perform routine preventive maintenance on utility systems.
* Repair existing plumbing systems and maintain documentation for work orders, reports, and inspections.
* Supervise or assist laborers and maintenance workers as needed, performing tasks as assigned by management.
