My client is a well-known global tech company and they are looking to hire a
Software Architect
(or similar) to partner closely with their wider platform engineering team on a major modernisation initiative to simplify a decade-old architecture to accelerate delivery and unlock new product capabilities.
The Opportunity
You'll play a hands-on technical leadership role, working at the intersection of systems design, scalability, and developer experience. You'll take ownership of key platform domains to prototype, design, and implement new architectures that enable next-generation
workflows.
This is a role for an engineer who thrives on driving change that has clear business impact.
What You'll Do
* Lead architecture modernisation initiatives across our core platform.
* Design and prototype new systems to replace or refactor legacy services.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to define platform standards and delivery frameworks.
* Deep dive into our search and evaluation stack to create scalable, efficient, and AI-ready services.
* Mentor engineers and contribute to technical strategy across the organisation.
What You Bring
* 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ in architecture or similar level roles.
* Tech stack is varied, but fundamentally .NET in the back with React in the front and NodeJS as a BFF
* Proven experience
migrating and modernising legacy systems
in large-scale environments.
* Strong understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, and API design.
* Proficiency in cloud-native architecture (AWS preferred) and modern frameworks.

* €150-170k base for permanent and appropriate daily rate for contract (depending on experience)
