As a Senior HSQE Advisor, you will support the implementation of the company’s HSQE systems and work closely with site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant legislation and standards. You will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture across all operations while ensuring risks are effectively managed on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Support the safe delivery of projects while promoting a collaborative “one team” culture.
Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across site teams.
Ensure compliance with all current Environmental, Health & Safety legislation and industry best practices.
Provide onsite HSQE support during construction and operational phases.
Assist in developing and implementing Construction Stage Plans, traffic management plans, waste management plans, and other HSQE documentation.
Ensure duties of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS), and Contractor responsibilities are fulfilled.
Manage internal and external EHS reporting requirements.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard monitoring through the company’s online management systems.
Carry out accident and incident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement.
Review subcontractor and supplier safety documentation.
Ensure subcontractors comply with project-specific safety requirements prior to appointment.
Maintain and update Health & Safety Plans throughout project lifecycles.
Monitor compliance of employees and subcontractors with safety procedures and regulations.
Advise site management on safety, health, welfare provisions, safe systems of work, and equipment compliance.
Maintain all site safety documentation in collaboration with site teams.
Deliver site inductions and safety briefings.
Liaise with external stakeholders regarding HSQE matters.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
Identify employee training requirements and support ongoing HSQE development initiatives.
Requirements
Minimum Level 7 qualification in Health & Safety or related discipline.
Previous experience in a similar HSQE role is desirable.
Strong working knowledge of Irish Safety, Health and Welfare at Work legislation and best practice standards.
Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and First Aid certifications.
Temporary Works Co-Ordinator qualification and lifting operations experience desirable.
Confined Space experience is advantageous.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to influence positive change.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and mobile technologies/apps.
Full clean driving licence required.
