Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to manage the estimating process for project bids, establish procedures and methods for the estimating department, and assist with conceptual alternative procurements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assign responsibilities for the Estimating Team on each project
* Evaluate requests for estimates with the Executive Team, prepare weekly bid calendar, and reviews
* Conduct weekly estimating meetings to ensure timely completion of estimates
* Review project plans and specifications and coordinate with the team to confirm the complete scope
* Assist with identifying risk issues and their level of importance
* Manage the soliciting of subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing for each project
* Oversee the instructions to bidders, bid form, and other bid solicitation information as required for each project
* Coordinate technical proposal requirements with the Marketing Department and manage insurance requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need strong critical thinking skills and an eye for detail, be inquisitive and knowledgeable about gaps, and able to make sound assumptions. You will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
