With their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network growing rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide – and this is your opportunity to be involved!Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:Establish our project’s technical direction for all technical aspects.Develop technical scope for the project and identify resource requirements with project management to deliver the project.Lead and task manage a significant cross-disciplinary SME team and working closely with the SME team to create a seamless transfer of technical responsibilitiesEnsure the full technical scope is aligned with business and project needs.Collaborate with the project execution team including project management, construction management, Automation, IT, Commissioning and Qualification teams to deliver the project scope on time and budget.Support the Operational Readiness team technically where necessary to ensure design is understood and communicated clearly to the Owner.Ensure the technical team keeps to the project scopeTake accountability for the delivery of the GMP compliant, functionality and robust performance of the technical packages (e.g. process, packing, automation, critical utilities, HVAC).Ensure the projects’ alignment to Health and Environment (SHE) requirements.Evaluate the technical competence of Design Contractors and the proposed external team members qualifications.Act as the Technical ‘conscience’ for the project throughout its lifetimeWork multi-functionally across the project to create a complete, integrated, compliant process design, influencing partners as needed and highlighting any impact of decisions on budget and scheduleDesirable Experience:Requires extensive and relevant Capital project technical and execution experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry and major capital investmentsExperience of working in a global organisation and you are aware of how "engineering delivery" needs to be adapted to take account of local differences.Experience of working successfully with Design Contractors and Equipment suppliers on major projectsExcellent communication, customer & partner management, enabling and influencing skillsDesign and preferably operational experience in ATEX design and delivery of functional safetyDegree in an Engineering or Science discipline with of experience of project management and/or project deliveryProven leadership qualities with ability to motivate and direct others in a dynamic and complex environment.Self-motivated and able to act on your initiative, highly organised with proven time-management and structured prioritisation skills.Tenacity and resilience to respond to unforeseen situationsDemonstrable problem solving and analytical skills, a good communicator (written and verbal), excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build relationships with others.If this role is of interest to you, please apply now!#LI-SC1
