Role Overview
The Marine Institute is Ireland's national agency for marine research, technology development and innovation. It assesses and realises the economic potential of Ireland's 220-million-acre marine resource.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work in close cooperation with a core team, researchers and colleagues to deliver a targeted programme of support and infrastructure for pre- and post-award research support.
They will build an enhanced suite of pre-award supports for researchers, develop research proposals and training opportunities. The role also addresses the dissemination and impact of research undertaken by the institute.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of marine research and its applications.
* Excellent communication, project management and leadership skills.
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and drive results-oriented initiatives.
* Experience in developing and implementing research strategies and plans.
