Our client, a public sector body, is seeking a Buildings & Maintenance Manager to join their maintenance services department in Dublin .
The Maintenance Services Department provides comprehensive technical, maintenance and building services across several healthcare facilities.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance, repair, upkeep and decoration of all property, site services owned, occupied or maintained by the company within their area of responsibility.
This role is initially offered on a 1 year rolling contract.
Responsibilities Maintain hospital infrastructure, including roads, buildings, plant, and equipment, adhering to legal and industry standards.
Implement cost-effective, quality-focused maintenance systems, contracts, and asset registers.
Develop and oversee comprehensive planned maintenance programs.
Ensure all activities comply with statutory regulations, healthcare standards, and HSE policies.
Contribute to planning and execution of new developments, minor/major capital projects, and maintenance strategies.
Maintain and mitigate risks on the infrastructural risk register.
Prepare maintenance reports, plans, and maintain records in an organized system.
Promote a quality working environment within the department.
Ensure all health and safety standards are met.
Requirements Hold a third level qualification, minimum level 6 in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Civil Services OR Have successfully served a recognised apprenticeship.
AND Have 5+ years experience post qualification experience of maintaining industrial and domestic type buildings.
