We're seeking an experienced
Credit Underwriter
(
1 day per week in the office)
to join our growing Asset Finance team. This role plays a vital part in supporting our Business Development Managers (BDMs) and dealer network by delivering prompt, commercial, and responsible credit decisions that balance risk with opportunity. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to assess applications, structure deals, and ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory standards.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum
5 years' experience
in credit underwriting within the
Asset Finance
industry
* Strong understanding of
hard and soft asset lending
, including vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
* Proven ability to interpret and analyse
financial statements
and assess creditworthiness.
* Proficiency with credit scoring systems and CRM/loan origination platforms.
* Excellent
communication and relationship-building
skills with internal teams and external partners.
