Job Title: Food & Beverage Supervisor
Job Description: Full time salaried position, rostered 39 hours per week, 5 days per week, flexible evenings and weekends in a 4 star hotel.
Responsibilities
Assist in the smooth and efficient running of the hotel restaurant, bar and/or banqueting departments, ensuring profitable operation whilst complying with company standards and ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
Ensure smooth management of the food & beverage service in conjunction with the Deputy General Manager and the supervisory team.
Deal with situations and customer queries as they arise.
Check and ensure adequate beverage and wine stock levels on a regular basis.
Ensure all orders are taken accurately and serviced efficiently.
Ensure staff have sufficient knowledge of menus, beverages and service standards and identify any training needs; conduct training when required.
Ensure high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas of the Bar, Restaurant & Banqueting and other related areas.
Ensure correct set up in the Restaurant, Bar &/or Restaurant prior to service and create the right atmosphere.
Assist in rostering of staff accurately and effectively; monitor business levels daily.
Supervise, control and monitor all staff on duty ensuring all duties are fully carried out in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure high standard of service and attention to detail within the hotel/department.
Check the main safe at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensure all floats are accurate before giving to each department.
Maximize staff productivity and encourage staff motivation by creating a positive working environment.
Deal with customer complaints efficiently and notify management.
