Job Opportunity in Catering Assistant Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a catering assistant. This part-time opportunity is available on a temporary basis through our agency, servicing the Wexford and surrounding areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist in food preparation and presentation, and set up of the venue
* Provide excellent customer service and create memorable experiences for guests
* Wash and clean dishes, utensils, and cleaning kitchen equipment using professional equipment
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas at all times
* Monitor and maintain stock levels with a proactive approach
* Practice high standards of hygiene and food safety
* Work as part of a team and communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues and managers
Requirements:
* Living in Ireland, within a commutable distance from Waterford area
* Holding a valid work permit
* Previous experience in a kitchen/catering environment
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Able to follow instructions
* Excellent customer service skills
* Possession of Food Safety and HACCP knowledge or willingness to acquire it
* Positive attitude, passion for food service, and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
* Ability to multitask
