This panel will remain active for six months and may be used to fill future vacancies for the same or similar roles.We are recruiting fortwo portfolio management roles, which may be appointed atAssociate Fund ManagerorFund Managerlevel depending on the skills, experience, and competencies of the successful candidates.ROLE PURPOSEThe Associate / Fund Manager is a critical relationship manager and is responsible for managing a portfolio of awardees to deliver social impact in line with each fund's objectives. The role involves building strong relationships with stakeholders, providing capacity-building support, and overseeing project delivery across key areas such asHealth, Education, Equality, Green Transition, and Social Enterprise. Success is demonstrated through impactful awardees, selected via Rethink Ireland's transparent process, who complete a transformative capacity-building programme to enhance their local and national impact.ROLE SUMMARIESAssociate Fund ManagerProgramme management role. Manages a portfolio of awardees with responsibility for programme delivery, impact tracking, and capacity-building. Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills. Excellent communication and report writing; demonstrates leadership potential. Supports implementation; prepares budgets, facilitates reviews, and manages compliance. Experienced in stakeholder engagement and donor reporting. Requires a relevant qualification and 3–5 years of professional experience.Fund ManagerSenior project/programme manager. Provides operational management of multiple funds and leads project design, delivery, and budget management. Develops capacity-building frameworks to ensure programme success. Manages significant awardee portfolios and leads team members. Brings strong strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, impact reporting, and financial oversight. Demonstrates proven expertise in donor reporting and project delivery. Possesses excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills. Requires a relevant qualification and 6–10 years' experience leading complex programmes or projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead or support the design and delivery of new funding calls, including promotion, application recruitment, selection panels, and due diligence assessments.Manage a portfolio of awardees by developing strong investment relationships, monitoring progress, and holding organisations to account for delivery and impact.Support awardees to define their social impact goals, develop strategic growth plans, and structure their award package, including cash and non-financial supports.Co-design and deliver tailored capacity-building supports, including training sessions, workshops, and access to external consultants or peer learning.Prepare and submit grant payment requests in line with awardee milestones and compliance requirements, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.Manage fund budgets, monitor expenditure, and produce high-quality financial and social impact reports for internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate relationships between awardees, donors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure programme success and alignment with fund objectives.Lead or contribute to the successful close-out of funds, including donor engagement, final impact reporting, and knowledge sharing with the wider team.Implement and maintain portfolio management systems to track awardee performance, impact measurement, and financial compliance.Build and manage strategic partnerships with community organisations, sector experts, and funders to enhance programme reach and effectiveness.Provide leadership on projects, offering technical support to team members and (at Fund Manager level) guiding or line-managing staff as needed.Act as an ambassador for Rethink Ireland at all times and contribute to broader organisational priorities as required.Appointment CriteriaAssociate Fund ManagerExperience: 3–5 years in a relevant fieldQualifications: Relevant third-level qualificationProject Management: Delivers projects on time and on budgetFinancial Skills: Budgeting and financial analysisStakeholder Management: Builds trust with awardees and partnersLeadership: Demonstrates leadership potentialImpact Measurement: Experience or interest in impact trackingFund ManagerExperience: 6–10 years in complex programme or project rolesQualifications: Relevant qualification; postgraduate desirableProject Management: Leads multi-fund portfolios on time and on budget; strategic deliveryFinancial Skills: Advanced financial oversight and forecastingStakeholder Management: Manages high-level stakeholders and donorsLeadership: Provides operational leadership and staff guidanceImpact Measurement: Proven track record in impact management and evaluationGeneralCommitment to excellence.Comfort with an entrepreneurial culture and a fast-moving environment.A natural curiosity and a desire to learn.Drive and ambition.Ability to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and ethical fibre.DESIRABLEExperience of supporting marginalised communities from an empowerment perspectiveExperience of managing a portfolio of organisations in an investment or philanthropic contextExperience (or interest) in research and an understanding of academic evaluation processesStrong skills in finance, accounting, investment or financial analysisWe are an equal opportunity employer and we strongly believe that diversity and inclusion lead to success.
