Safefood is an implementation body set up under the British-Irish Agreement with responsibility on an all-island basis for promoting food safety and healthy eating, research, and fostering scientific cooperation.

Human Resources & Administration Executive

Applications are invited for the position of Human Resources & Administration Executive based in our Cork head office.

The Human Resources & Administration Executive will provide advice and assistance to the Corporate Operations Manager in developing and implementing Safefood's HR strategy. They will review and maintain HR systems, policies, and procedures in line with Safefood's business plan, legislation, and best practices. Responsibilities include advising on and maintaining the Safefood pension scheme, equality and disability schemes, and the Freedom of Information Code of Practice, as well as health & safety arrangements and HR functions such as recruitment, performance management, and learning and development. The role requires researching the latest legislation and guidance, providing advice, and drafting and implementing policies and procedures for Safefood on relevant issues.

Qualifications And Experience

* A Business/HR related degree and/or relevant professional qualification, e.g., Member of CIPD (part-qualified may suffice).
* At least 3 years HR generalist experience gained in a HR function within the public, private, voluntary, or community sectors.
* Ability to demonstrate HR generalist knowledge and experience.

Salary

HEO (NPPC) €55,492-€67,483. The appointment will be made at the minimum of the scale.
