Senior - Asset Management
Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an Audit Senior – Asset Management to join a growing, dynamic team.
Working across sectors such as Funds, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Structured Finance, and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), you will support clients in local and international financial centres.
Department Overview: Our Audit & Assurance practice is expanding its Asset Management team.
The role offers exposure to a wide variety of industries, collaboration with global and local clients, and the opportunity to manage audit engagements from planning through delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, including risk assessment, audit program development, and fieldwork.
Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with professional standards and firm policies.
Supervise junior audit staff, providing direction, support, and guidance throughout the audit process.
Review work completed by team members for accuracy and completeness and provide constructive feedback.
Act as a point of contact for clients during audit engagements, addressing inquiries and providing updates on audit progress.
Ensure audit documentation and reports meet firm standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of auditing standards and regulations.
Support the development and mentoring of junior team members through on-the-job training and coaching.
Skills And Attributes:
Minimum 3 years' experience required
Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA or similar qualification)
Strong technical skills (Irish GAAP, Auditing standards, IFRS)
Strong experience in audit engagements
Worked with a diverse portfolio of clients
Capable of working on your own initiative
Strong interpersonal skills are essential
Strong attention to detail and analytical assessment
