Our Leadership Team is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Controller to drive financial excellence.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial management of the business, ensuring strong financial control, reporting, and strategic planning. You will work closely with senior management to support decision-making, optimise profitability, and maintain financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and sustainability.
* Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax obligations, and statutory requirements.
* Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk management.
* Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvement.
* Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and receivable functions.
* Lead and mentor finance staff, ensuring strong internal controls and best practices.
* Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and financial performance of ongoing projects.
* Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* 3-5 years experience in a senior financial role, preferably in the construction, landscaping, or design industry.
* Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and risk management.
* Excellent knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting tools.
* Experience with project-based accounting and cost management.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
