Overview
Kilsaran is looking for a motivated and passionate Logistics Coordinator to join our logistics team. The role is based at our HQ and offers a clear pathway to build a career within Kilsaran.
Responsibilities
* Plan the most effective daily transport and delivery schedules.
* Process orders received via telephone, email, fax, face‑to‑face or via Sales team.
* Prepare delivery dockets, schedule and allocate drivers to deliveries.
* Ensure the delivery of the right products and quantity of material to customers.
* Ensure all customer orders are delivered within agreed time‑frames.
* Maintain daily shipping records.
* Prepare and maintain all relevant paperwork for payment transactions.
* Ensure ongoing effective communication with drivers, customers, production and sales.
* Understand and achieve specific targets regarding utilisation of trucks, costs and empty journeys.
* Manage instructions to drivers concerning their working hours, breaks and rest periods.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of systems and detailed administration.
* Flair for prioritising, scheduling and logical thinking.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Previous experience in a dispatch office or customer‑service environment is a bonus.
* Confidence to highlight issues or process improvements to deliver the best possible service to customers.
