Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day automation and manufacturing systems support to site operations, focusing on streamlining, standardisation, and process improvement.
* Play a key role in reviewing, approving, and executing validation protocols in line with regulatory and quality standards.
* Support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
* Develop and/or review User Requirement Specifications (URS) for process and automation systems.
* Act as an escalation point for technical issues, providing support to IT and maintenance teams across the organisation.
* Create and maintain accurate as‑built documentation for plant control system infrastructure.
* Manage system changes through the change control process, ensuring no impact to safety, environment, or product quality.
* Continuously assess and enhance automation technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and functionality.
* Contribute to the development of standard data structures and integration methods for manufacturing control systems.
* Recommend modifications to systems, processes, and equipment to improve safety, performance, and alignment with operational goals.
* Liaise with equipment vendors and integrators to ensure compliance with system specifications, including participation in design reviews, kick‑off meetings, and FAT activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree‑qualified in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Process, or related discipline).
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in process control, PLC/SCADA systems, and IT architecture within a manufacturing or process environment.
* Proven track record in the design, implementation, and delivery of automation and technology solutions.
* Experience in Automation Validation in accordance with GAMP and cGMP standards.
* Hands‑on experience with technologies such as Allen‑Bradley PLCs, Wonderware InTouch, InSQL, Profibus, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and EtherNet is advantageous.
* Strong ability to manage and prioritise multiple high‑impact projects in a dynamic production environment.
* Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
